While not making glass of one kind or another we find time to participate in other activities going on in our area – the kind of things that make a place a community and not just another anonymous collection of streets and buildings.
Recently, Naples welcomed its very first professional sports team: FC Naples. We found ourselves first going to these games as a social event but found that we became more and more enamored of the game itself.
The game of soccer is subtle and sudden, requiring skill and creating drama without interruption. As the team website says “Of all the languages spoken in Naples, only soccer is universal. Its energy. Its movement. Its fierceness. Its ability to gather”.
The bonus for us is how incredibly friendly and helpful everyone associated with the team has been.
