The Power of Complimentary Color

The Power of Complimentary Color

Recently David from Florida sent me a picture of his newly redesigned bathroom. Part of his redesign was the installation of Agate knobs and pulls from the Auroras Collection.

His remodel looks great. One thing that stood out to me was how he used the agate green color to offset the various tones of brown and red in his cabinets, marble, and even his shower curtain.

With the possible exception of a bit of the shower curtain, there aren’t any similar greens in the room. And yet it goes together perfectly. I believe this because there are certain colors that highlight each other just like these greens and browns.

When picking accessories such as cabinet handles it’s not necessary to match a color in the room you are furnishing. Just pick one that looks good with your cabinets, counters, walls, and floors.

What’s complimentary? What looks good together? Well, that’s where you come in. Your creativity defines your space. Hopefully, it will look as great as David’s.
